On Wednesday April 5 the University of Sheffield International Faculty, CITY College organised the 9th International Strategic People Management Workshop took place titled: The Shifting Sands of People Management: Worker Migration Into and Inside Europe.
Under the auspices of the Laboratory for Strategic People Management and MIGRATE (Jean Monnet Network), as part of the MBA Study Week, nearly 70 attendees were directly involved in a “no holds barred” presentation and discussion touching on a variety of critical, yet sensitive issues related to this important topic. Scheduled to last for two hours, the workshop lasted close to three hours and was highly praised by participants for bringing a number of our regional (and global) ‘brain drain’ and ‘brain gain’ issues to the forefront. Presentations and discussions were lead by Dr. Pavlos Gkasis, Dr. Anastasios Diamantidis, Dr. Alexandros Psychogios and Dr. Leslie Szamosi, along with a distinguished guest (via SKYPE) Dr. Mirjana Stankovic from the World Bank in Washington D.C.
