Iryna is a Research Associate for MIGRATE. She joined the Department of Sociological Studies of the University of Sheffield in 2016 as a University Teacher in Social Policy. Prior to joining this Department, Iryna had been teaching on UG and PG Programs in Social Policy and Education at the University of Edinburgh. Iryna also completed her PhD at Edinburgh. Her project was focused on analysing the process of the recent higher education reform in Ukraine (i.e. the Bologna reform) and examining Bologna as a case of Europeanisation in the post-Soviet context. In light of her interest in education policy, Iryna and her colleagues from Ukraine and Europe co-founded the Ukrainian Educational Research Association in 2015, which has already progressed to a full membership in the European Educational Research Association.
